BL Content Protection is now available for Shoper. Shoper stores can switch on a set of browser-side safeguards that discourage casual copying of product descriptions, images, and other storefront content - from the right-click menu and text selection to image dragging and the print view.
The app is published in the Shoper Appstore, where it appears under the Polish name Blokada Kopiowania. It is sold as a Shoper subscription of 4,00 zł per month, and you need to be logged into your Shoper store to buy and install it.
What the Shoper version offers
According to the live Shoper listing, the app provides ten safeguards, all enabled by default, each with its own on/off switch in one panel:
- text and content: block the right-click menu, copy and cut (form fields keep working), text selection, and long-press selection on mobile;
- images: block image dragging, touch-device image save menus, and right-click menus on background images;
- additional: selected keyboard shortcuts such as F12 and Ctrl/Cmd+U (used for view-source and developer tools), a browser-console deterrent, and hiding page content in the print view, including saving to PDF through the browser’s print function.
The panel works in Polish and English and shows how many safeguards are active.
Check before you rely on it
- these safeguards run in the visitor’s browser and deter casual copying - they cannot make content impossible to capture (screenshots, for example, remain possible), and their behaviour can vary by browser and device;
- blocking text selection, the context menu, or shortcuts can affect how comfortable and accessible your store feels - review the set with your customers in mind and turn off whatever gets in their way;
- for extra photo protection, the listing recommends using watermarks as well;
- the ten-switch set is what the Shoper listing documents - do not assume the same switches or the same defaults in the Shopify, Wix, Ecwid, or Nuvemshop versions;
- there is no separate free trial of the app itself - the 14-day trial offered on shoper.pl is a Shoper platform trial.
