Important store messages should be easy to notice without taking over the page. A scrolling announcement bar gives Wix merchants a compact place for a promotion, a launch update, a delivery notice or a time-sensitive reminder.
Choose one primary message
An announcement bar works best when it answers one immediate question: what is happening, why it matters and where the visitor should go next. For a campaign, use a specific offer and end date. For a product launch, name the collection or product group. Avoid trying to combine an offer, a shipping policy and a newsletter request in the same line.

Verified Wix controls
The Wix version supports announcement text, font family and size, text color, spacing, animation direction and speed, animation on or off, and pause-on-hover. The Wix version does not use the same control set as Shopify. Do not assume that Shopify-style announcement images, carousel mode, pattern-image controls, or separate desktop/mobile visibility settings are available in Wix.
