Wix setup workflow
- Install BL Country Blocker from the Wix App Market.
- Open the app dashboard and decide whether the rule should block selected countries or allow only selected countries.
- Select countries using the country picker. Keep block and redirect lists intentional; if the same country is included in both, the block rule is evaluated first.
- Write the message or destination. Use a plain-language message with a contact or regional-store link where appropriate, or enter the URL for the redirect.
- Save, enable, and test. Test the site from representative locations and check the experience on desktop and mobile.
How the Wix storefront rule works
The app resolves the visitor’s country by IP. When the block rule matches, the visitor sees a full-page message using the configured background and text colors. When the block rule does not match and the redirect rule matches, the visitor is sent to the configured destination URL.

Important Wix limitations
This is an in-site storefront experience, not a DNS, CDN, firewall, or server-side access-control system. Because the country is resolved by IP, the page may begin loading before the rule completes, and an unavailable or inaccurate IP signal may prevent a rule from matching. It should not be presented as a legal-compliance guarantee, fraud-prevention system, or a promise that every request and analytics event is stopped.

Can I block everyone except selected countries?
Yes. Choose the allowlist mode and select the countries that should remain available. Visitors outside that selection receive the configured block experience.
Can I redirect selected countries?
Yes. Configure the redirect list and destination URL. Use a stable, relevant regional or information page and test for redirect loops.
Can I customize the blocked page?
The dashboard provides a custom block message, background color, and text color. Keep the message helpful instead of showing only “Access denied.”
Does the Wix app block traffic before it reaches Wix?
It is not a network-edge access-control system. It is a storefront rule that evaluates the visitor’s country by IP. Use a network-edge solution if your requirement is to stop requests before the site loads.
